Say Yes Cannon Beach
Salt Air, Golden Light, and Five Days on the Oregon Coast
July 15-19, 2026 | 5 Days, 4 Nights | Portland + Cannon Beach, Oregon
Most people picture the Oregon coast as grey and dramatic. For most of the year, they are right. But July is different. July is when the fog lifts, the sun stays until 9pm, and Cannon Beach becomes one of the most photogenic places in the country.
This trip is built around that window.
Five days of long beach walks, old-growth forest hikes through Ecola State Park, fireside evenings at private cottages, and dinners at places worth lingering. No packed schedule. No tourist traps. Just a small group of five, a thoughtfully curated pace, and a photographer capturing all of it.
You fly into Portland. I take care of everything else.

Why July?
Why Say Yes to Cannon Beach in July
The Oregon coast has a reputation. Misty. Grey. Dramatic. And yes, most of the year that is true.
But July is the exception. July is when the coast gets genuinely sunny, the crowds are still thin, and the light at golden hour does things that are almost unfair to photograph. It is one of the best-kept secrets in Pacific Northwest travel.
This is not the rainy PNW you have heard about. This is long evenings on the beach, warm enough to sit outside, with Haystack Rock turning gold in front of you.
The Experience
What We'll Experience Together
Every day of this retreat is intentional and unhurried. No rushing between stops, no racing to fit everything in. Just five days moving slowly through one of the most beautiful coastlines in North America.
Highlights include:
A welcome dinner in Portland on the arrival night, with no agenda except settling in and meeting the group
The scenic van drive from Portland to Cannon Beach through the PNW forest
Afternoons at Haystack Rock, exploring tide pools and sea stacks at low tide
A morning hike through Ecola State Park, old-growth rainforest opening to sweeping ocean views
Dinners at Cannon Beach's most beloved restaurants
Fireside evenings
A golden hour photo shoot on the beach at Haystack Rock
Strolls through Cannon Beach downtown to enjoy bookstores, coffee shops, and beloved local artisans and boutiques
There is space to wander, time to rest, and room for the slow moments that make a trip feel like yours.

Meals
Every Meal Is Taken Care Of
All meals are included from the moment we sit down to dinner in Portland on Wednesday night through breakfast before we load the van on Sunday morning.
Some are at local restaurants I have handpicked. Some are cooked breakfasts and packed lunches at the cottages. All of them are already handled.
You do not have to think about where to eat, whether it fits the budget, or how to get a table for five on a Friday night in a beach town. That is already done.
Some of the best moments on every trip happen around the table. I want you to be fully there for them.
Alcohol is not included.
18+ Years of Professional Experience
You'll Be in the Photos
I'm Macey, a professional photographer with 18+ years of experience, and I am on every single trip.
That means you can put your phone in your pocket and stay completely present. No stopping to document moments you should be living. No asking strangers to take photos that never turn out right. I will be there the whole time, capturing the beach light, the trail through Ecola, and the look on your face when you are standing at Haystack Rock at golden hour, salt air all around you, wondering how this is your real life.
