Say Yes: Prince Edward Island
The Anne of Green Gables Getaway
September 23–27, 2026 | Prince Edward Island, Canada
If you grew up watching Anne, Diana, and Gilbert, while dreaming of afternoons spent exploring Avonlea, then this trip’s for you!
Red dirt roads, white farmhouses tucked between trees, and the sound of the sea rolling in the distance make this island magical and nostalgic in the best way. If you ever dreamed of walking through Green Gables, wandering Lover’s Lane, and maybe (just maybe) bumping into Gilbert Blythe, then you need to say yes to this adventure.
We’re heading to Prince Edward Island next fall, that golden, magical time when the leaves are turning, the tourists have gone home, and the island feels like a secret kept just for us. Think cozy sweaters, seaside walks, bookstore browsing, laughter that carries through the kitchen, and the ultimate girls’ weekend that feels like a grown-up sleepover with kindred spirits.
This isn’t your average getaway. It’s slow mornings, shared meals, ocean air, and new friends who feel like old ones.
Trip Overview
Dates: September 23–27, 2026
Location: Cavendish & Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Duration: 5 days / 4 nights
Group Size: Only 5 guests + 1 host (Macey)
Vibe: Cozy, storybook charm, and seaside-sweet
Your Home on the Island
Our farmhouse is just down the lane from Green Gables Heritage Place. A lovingly restored home with warm wood floors, soft light, and the smell of salt in the air.
Morning coffee on the porch feels like stepping into Anne’s story itself. Evenings are for laughter in the kitchen, wine by the fire, and cozy blankets shared between new friends.
With only five guests, this trip is intentionally small so you can slow down, settle in, and feel at home on the island.
Our Week Together
For five days, you’ll step straight into Avonlea — wind in your hair, laughter in your chest, and cheeks pink from the sea air. This trip is for the dreamers, the romantics, and the women who still believe in kindred spirits.
We’ll explore, giggle, eat too many pastries, and let ourselves feel like girls again — the kind who write letters, chase sunsets, and still believe in a little magic. By the end, you’ll know exactly what Anne meant when she said, “Dear old world, you are very lovely and I am glad to be alive in you.”
Tuesday: Welcome to Prince Edward Island
You’ll land in Charlottetown with that giddy, first-day-of-summer feeling. The air smells like salt and sea grass, and just beyond the fields, our cozy farmhouse is waiting.
We’ll unpack, pour a glass of wine or a hot cup of tea, and settle in as the evening light turns golden. Dinner will be full of laughter and that easy, instant connection that makes you feel like you’ve known everyone for years. By bedtime, you’ll already be a little bit in love with this island.
Wednesday: The Heart of Avonlea
Today, we wake ready to wander through Anne’s world — Lover’s Lane, the Haunted Wood, and the farmhouse that started it all. You’ll stand where Anne stood, camera in hand, heart wide open.
We’ll spend the afternoon exploring, snapping photos, and maybe even reciting a favorite quote or two. Later, we’ll head home for the coziest of nights — pajamas, popcorn, tea or wine, and Anne of Green Gables playing in the background. Think childhood sleepover, all grown up.
Thursday: Kindred Spirits in Town
Every good friendship deserves an adventure, and today is ours. We’ll explore the island’s charming towns, wandering through cafés, bookshops, and local boutiques that feel straight out of the story.
There will be time to linger, to twirl in the street just because it feels silly, and to share secrets over hot chocolate. We’ll toast to friendship, to growing up, and to never losing the spark of the girls we used to be.
Friday: The Sea and the Sunset
The island was made for wonder. We’ll spend the day chasing that feeling — following the red cliffs, letting the waves crash over our feet, laughing until our cheeks hurt.
As the sun sinks, we’ll gather for a sunset photo walk. This is your golden-hour moment. As your trip photographer, Macey will capture the joy, the connection, and the glow that comes from saying yes to something just for you. Our final dinner together will be a celebration of it all — friendship, freedom, and the simple magic of being here.
Saturday: Until We Meet Again
The last morning comes with giggles, coffee refills, and that bittersweet “I wish we had one more day” feeling. We’ll share one last breakfast, swap numbers, and promise to meet again somewhere the light feels this good.
You’ll leave with new friends, a full heart, and photographs that let you relive every laugh, every field, and every sunset.
